| Album features orange cardboard cover with "Adolf Hitler" in gilt on cover and spine. The original dust jacket is on the book, which has a fascimilie Hitler signature embossed in gold. It is presented to you here with the original shipping box. Album features 132 pages w/German text with photos by Hitler's personal photographer, Heinrich Hoffmann. Book is complete with no missing photographs. Overall I would rate this one as Near Mint!! |

| Very nice embossed cover (showing some staining on cover only), complete with 270 full color cards that were purchased with cigarette ads on the backside. The book was purchased separately and filled one by one as the cards were collected. You can tell by looking at the color cards that it has not been handled much, the cards have good bright color and not many scratches, this is the kind you need to look for when buying one of these. |

| Very nice edition of the classic Deutschland Ewacht photo album with 54"-long pull-out poster in back of the 1933 rally in Luitpoldhain. This is an original early pressing, so the photo cards are both thick and have a very high-gloss finish to them, unlike the later printings. each photo is crisp in detail and look as close to an original photograph as imaginable! (Nov 10, 1933 with the early print giving credit in part to SS Obersturmfuhrer Felix Albrecht). The dust-jacket on these albums usually show much wear, but this one has survived the years, with only two small tears (which are hard to detect fortunately) and very minor spine wear. The book itself is clean and tight, with a stress in the beginning of the book on the upper top (see photo). This is more of a paper split of the inner paper and not so much a case of internal weakness. Size is 9x12 and 150-pages with the amazing 9-page foldout of the Luitpoldhain rally in back. A prized piece every collector and historian has or needs in his collection. A most interesting study of the Third Reich, with many of the photos never seen before. Copies are going for $300-400 now for mid-grade 3rd& 4th printings with the paper-dull photos and no dust-jacket, so this is an excellent opportunity to still obtain a genuinely nice, desirable copy at a decade-old price. One would be hard pressed to find another dust-jacket this nice. |
